Too much bad language, sex & pics
by Simon inplease can everyone think twice before they make posts containing bad language (even if not directed at individuals), graphic sex talk and nude or semi-nude pictures (especially if explicit).
this is not what the forum is here for.
if you want to post stuff like that then there are lots of places on the internet for it and, more importantly, if people want to see and read stuff like that then they are quite capable of going to these places themselves.. i know everyone likes to 'let their hair down' now and again, me included, and i like pictures of sexy women as much as anyone .

In a sense, we are "guests" at Simon's house. Common sense has to dictate.
If you are invited to a gathering where all types of people (young, old, male, female, ect..), would you pass around porno? Would you discuss "swallowing" in front of a grandmother? It does not matter if you were in the borg or not. What will make us "better" than them is if we just respect each other. It's just plain ol' common sense!!!

Do you feel like an idiot?Should you?
by sleepy ini was thinking today about all the time i spent on the ministry.. walking down the street with my suit and briefcase ready to defend the truth.. i recalled some of the conversations i had , had.some of the bible studies i conducted, the talks i had given the groups i had taken.. i remmebered the way i defended my faith and belief in jehovah and the jehovahs witness organisation.. how much i must have believed it was the truth.. i spent 3 years as an auxillary pioneer and called on many thousands of people.. yet all along i was wrong.. every time i defened my beliefs i was wrong.. every talk i studied and prepeared long and hard for, i was wrong.. all the things i gave up for the truth i was wrong.. what an idiot.

by Amazing inright now my body is half shaven with needle marks and bruises everywhere.
if i were stopped on the streets of chicago looking like this, staggering with fatigue, i would be arrested.
something we men have a hard time getting through our thick heads is that just because we feel basically okay, does not mean that we can or should do a lot physically after a traumatic event ... and i found this out by doing a little too much walking at the hospital chest tightened, became out of breath, and got dizzy.

Hearing Kingdom Songs on Dateline.......sickened
by Mulan indid anyone else have the bile come up, when you heard those "kingdom songs" during the dateline show?
it made me feel ill.........and almost like leaving the room.
i wonder why i have such an aversion to anything connected to a kh meeting?

I always hated when they played "Be Forgiving" at the end of the meeting. That song (4 verses, slooooooww tempo) seemed to go on forever when all I wanted to do is get the hell out of there.
But, I found it very ironic that this song was played during the Dateline show.
Well, it could have been worse....They could have played "From House to House". Try to get THAT tune out of your head!!!!

Amazing Survived Major Heart Attack
by AlanF ini just spoke on the phone to amazing (jim whitney) who is in intensive care in a chicago hospital.
on monday he had a major heart attack, had a stint put in an artery to unblock things and may have bypass surgery.
he's comfortable enough right now, but of course will have to make some big lifestyle changes.

TLC Program -- Car Crash with JW
by sunscapes ini posted this in another thread...did anyone see this very program?
the learning channel in one of those wild police chase video programs.... about the "music".... did any one here watch a tlc program that comes on once in a while about wild police chases and there's this chase where a car crashes into a set of gas pumps, and just sits there stunned and dazed in his white car while the officers yell at him to get out now, then one of the officers sacrifices his safety and uses his cruiser to bump off this freak from the burning gas pump island and out of the fire....then an officer comments on the blaring "classical music" he heard blaring from his car stereo at full blast all the while he seemed oblivious to this whole situation?.
guess what that "classical music" at full blast was?
